To help people who are suffering from COVID-19, and amid the increase in cases in Mexico City (CDMX), the local deputy Gaby osorio decided to donate his entire salary.
Through social networks, the legislator of Brunette, who represents the Tlalpan mayor’s office, invited his fellow popular representatives to join the same cause to help COVID patients.
“Last year, some deputies from the CDMX donated 2 months of salary. To support the government with resources to care for people sick with COVID-19 ”, recalled Osorio.
For this reason, this year that is just beginning, the deputy of Morena decided to do the same action. “I start 2021 by donating my salary to the same cause (COVID) and I invite the deputies to join,” he added in the message.
“It is time to help each other. If we have the possibility, let’s do our bit, ”Gaby Osorio wrote on Facebook.
How much will the deputy donate to care for COVID patients?
In that sense, it was in April 2020 when several legislators from Brunette donated two months of their salary to help fight COVID-19.
Now, Osorio will donate, in total, 52 thousand 838 pesos for the purchase of medical supplies and care for patients currently facing COVID in the capital.
“And most importantly, let’s do it from the heart,” said the legislator.
