Un educational and innovative project. For three years, a group within the Toulouse academy has offered training to teachers to enable them to integrate TV series into their lessons. A project, called Zoom, which, in addition to involving more college and high school students, has attracted teachers of different subjects. “The advantage of series is that they can be broken down into several subjects, such as Breaking Bad for physics and chemistry ”, explains Fabien Vergez, regional educational inspector at the initiative of the Zoom project, at Parisian. “Develop a critical vision of students”
“With the series, students can see, analyze and understand topics seen in class. Not all the series are realistic, but it also helps to develop a critical vision of the pupils, ”explains David Neuman, one of the trainers, himself a history and geography teacher in Toulouse.

Note that, despite the coronavirus, training continued online. During the confinement, the Zoom project was even enriched: “A newsletter to indicate the new series which are suitable for teaching” was thus created, specifies Fabien Vergez. What to learn, and teach, while having fun.
