Former Bundesliga professional Ivan Kovacec is moving to ASV Siegendorf in the Burgenland regional league with immediate effect. The Burgenland league announced this on its website. Kovacec was most recently under contract with NK Zagorec in Croatia.

The ASV Siegendorf once again draws attention to itself with a notable commitment. The ambitious Burgenland regional league team grabs the 32-year-old offensive player Ivan Kovacec to get one step closer to the dream of promotion to the Regionalliga Ost.

Ivan Kovacec moved to SV Pasching in 2012 with whom he celebrated the Austrian Cup victory. Red Bull Salzburg noticed him in Pasching and brought him to Liefering. In 2014 he decided on the LASK, from where his further path led him to the SCR Altach.

In 2015 he ventured to South Korea and played in the top division with Ulsam Hyundai, with whom he won the national cup and finally moved to FC Seoul. After a short stint in Greece, he landed at SV Ried in 2019, with whom he won the championship title in the second division. In summer 2020 his engagement in Ried ended and Kovacec joined NK Zagorec.

Now the step into the 4th division took place. At ASV Siegendorf, the offensive player meets ex-Bundesliga kicker. Andreas Dober and Philipp Prosenik are also under contract in Siegendorf.
