Xiaomi’s 80W Wireless Charger Technology will be Mass Produced

When it comes to wireless charging, Xiaomi continues to offer a faster solution on its flagship models. The Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra which debuted last year in August and the recently launched flagship Xiaomi Mi 11 are both equipped with wireless charging aka 50W wireless charger.

With the latest information regarding wireless fast charging solutions, Xiaomi is said to be launching a flagship phone that carries 80W wireless charging technology soon. It was the leaker Digital Chat Station who was the first to reveal this.

In a post shared on Weibo, the Digital Chat Station said that Xiaomi is testing a new flagship smartphone with 80W wireless charging technology. The handset with the new charging solution is said to be in the process of being verified.

In fact, the Digital Chat Station believes that the mass production of these devices will likely begin in the first half of this year. Unfortunately, it’s unclear which flagship smartphone will be equipped with the latest wireless charging solution.

Xiaomi itself is expected to announce its next flagship, the Mi 11 Pro in February. However, it remains to be seen whether the 80W wireless charging technology will be available in the Mi 11 Pro or other handsets. So we’ll just wait for the next leaks about the smartphone.

The 80W wireless charging technology was exhibited by Xiaomi in October last year. It shows that a 4,000 mAh battery can be fully charged by a dedicated 80W wireless charging solution with a dedicated stand in just 18 minutes. This is the fastest wireless charging technology in the world.

To successfully build 80W wireless charging technology Xiaomi needs to work hard in its R&D team. They say that a specially tailored wireless charging architecture and chip is more efficient, and independently designed the composite coil system.

In addition, Xiaomi added that they are using MTW multi-pole fast charging battery, dual 6C series battery, with multi-stage variable current control, and MiFC fast charging. Yes! Hopefully, in the future Xiaomi will still be passionate about creating a faster wireless charging solution.
