Dr. Abla Al-Kahlawi joined the Faculty of Islamic Studies at Al-Azhar University, in implementation of her father’s wish, and specialized in Islamic law, where she obtained a master’s degree in 1974 in comparative jurisprudence, then a doctorate in 1978 in the same specialty and moved to more than one position in the field of university teaching, including the College of Education For girls in Riyadh and the girls ’college at Al-Azhar University, in 1979, she headed the Sharia department in the College of Education in Makkah Al-Mukarramah.
Dr. Abla Al-Kahlawi went to the Holy Kaaba to receive daily lessons after the Maghrib prayer for women, and these lessons continued from 1987 to 1989 during which she received Muslim women from all over the world, and after her return to Cairo she began giving daily lessons for women in the mosque of her father Muhammad al-Kahlawi in Basateen In her lectures, she focused on highlighting the civilizational aspects of Islam, as well as explaining religious texts and answering jurisprudential questions..
And Dr. Abla Al-Kahlawi founded a charitable association in Mokattam to take care of orphan children, cancer patients and elderly Alzheimer’s patients under the name of the Good Remains Association, in addition to the Good Remains Complex in Mokattam.
