Leesburg, Va, (1/13/21) – The Washington Spirit has selected Anna Heilferty with the 19th overall pick in the 2021 NWSL Draft.
Heilferty, a senior midfielder / forward for the Boston University Terriers, played a total of 62 games and started 55 of them. In his 2,702 minutes of play, Heilferty scored 13 times and had 10 assists. During his three-year career as a Terrier, Heilferty has been named Patriot League First Team, Patriot League Tournament MVP and Patriot League Team of the Tournament in 2018, and Patriot League Rookie of the Year in 2017. He has also been named represented the US National Team at the U-18 level in 2017.
