A situation that worries the owner of the Belléza Relaxation Institute since she fears that her employees will not be able to return to work at her home when the government authorizes the resumption of activities.
“In March, we were closed for three months and luckily, all of our employees attended, except three who had to change careers,” explains owner Caroline Pilon in an interview with Denis Lévesque.
“The employees were on the PCU, so for us there was no real risk in terms of the competition. Now, with the new confinement, salaried employees are on unemployment, ”she continues.
Agents have contacted its employees to encourage them to take steps to find a job, such as when a person is receiving regular unemployment benefits.
“One of my employees received a sheet and must explain why she no longer has a job with me,” says Ms. Pilon. Another, yesterday, received a call from an agent who threatened her and said: “listen, you have to send resumes”. She said “I am off work, I love my job, I want to go back”. He said to her: “but you know it’s defrauding the government if you don’t send your CV madam?”. “
The owner of the relaxation institute fears having to close its doors for lack of employees.
“Our situation is precarious and we need our employees since in aesthetics and hairdressing, customers come for our employees. So if we only end up on February 8, maybe it’s our return date, but if we no longer have employees because the government is encouraging them to find another job, then it’s immediate closure for us, ”she confided to Denis Lévesque.
