Teaching in the Balearic Islands will be face-to-face until the second year of ESO, students will be able to take their temperature at home before going to class, and the Government insists on its request to request paid COVID permits for parents.
The Minister of Education, Martí March and the Minister of Health and Consumer Affairs, Patricia Gómez, have participated in the Education Sector Conference, where the community presented these contributions.
At the proposal of the Balearic Islands, some nuances have been adopted to the original Agreement document, such as the fact that the centers can opt for presence until the 2nd year of ESO and not the 4th year of ESO, as stated in the Ministry document. Minister March has stressed that despite the fact that each autonomous community has its responsibilities, the coincidence and general agreement on the part of all the communities in the face of this challenge is “very positive.
Coordination with Health will continue because it will be a complicated course, the minister stressed. In fact, the Balearic Islands have requested the holding of a new meeting in a few weeks, with the aim of re-evaluating the situation and the operation of the COVID-19 protocols in the different autonomous communities.
