But creativity did not stop flowing and although some artists complained that it was not profitable to premiere productions in the middle of confinement, others jumped into the void and offered variety to their followers with record productions.

The EPs, mini albums
Maestro Juan Luis Guerra did not want to say goodbye to 2020 without giving away new music. On December 25 he released his EP “Privé”. This short, five-song album has more than 3 million views on YouTube. The musical work brings new arrangements, instruments and interpretations and includes the unreleased song “Pambiche de Novia”.
The interpreter of “The wasps” confirmed that there will be a second part of “Privé”.
Another who decided to bet on the EPs was the urban singer Mozart la Para, who in August premiered his EP “6 rings” with trap and rap themes, among them “I don’t understand”. He also brought together the songs from the strip with Pencil Conscient on another EP titled “Levels” including the song “Game over”.

The albums “Now” by Eddy Herrera and “Larimar” by Daniel Santacruz were tied in the Best Merengue and / or Bachata Album category and brought the country two Latin Grammys in November.
