Founder EOS Daniel Larimer has stepped down as Chief Technology Officer of blockchain startup Block.one. About it he reported in a post on voice.com.
The developer stressed that he no longer believes in providing “freedom as a service”.
“I will focus on creating tools that enable people to defend their freedoms.”
The decision came into force on December 31, 2020.
Against the backdrop of this announcement, the price of EOS fell by 15% – around $ 3.
Larimer developed a consensus algorithm Delegated Proof-Of-Stake (DPoS) и Graphene technology… He was behind the Steem, Bitshares and EOS projects.
Users criticized Larimer for the habit of leaving their own projects after crowdsales.

We will remind, in May last year against Block.one and Dan Larimer filed a class action lawsuit in the United States. Plaintiffs accused the defendants of providing false information and conducting an unregistered sale of securities.
In July Block.one launched voice.com social network ahead of schedule – however, only US residents got early access.
