Weston McKennie was someone who celebrated the win with great passion. The Schalke professional, who is currently on loan to Juventus Turin, posted a video on Instagram in which he cheers and sings. “Let’s go guys,” yells the 22-year-old into the camera. And someone else spoke up: Mesut Özil, a real Schalke boy and native of Gelsenkrichen, wrote on Twitter: “Brother! Ladies and Gentlemen – The Kolasinac Effect – Maschiiiine!”.
Sead Kolasniac, the “machine”
In the post in English, 32-year-old Özil described his former teammate Kolasinac, with whom he had played at Arsenal, as a “machine”. When Schalke won, Kolasinac, on loan from the Londoners, celebrated his Bundesliga comeback after three and a half years. Matthew Hoppe (42nd, 57th and 63rd minutes) and Amine Harit (80th) met for Schalke.

Tasmania Berlin reacted with irony on its Facebook page. The club presented a new cover picture with the words: “How cool is tas? 31 games without a win – a record for the ages”, it says there.
