Hazem Imam, a player from Zamalek and the former Egyptian national team, confirmed that he spoke with Ayman Younis, a member of the football committee of the white club, who praised Tunisian Ferjani Sassi, noting that the reason for the player not participating in the front of Tala’a Al-Jaish was that he was not prepared.
Imam said in statements to Ontime Sports: “Sassi will be ready after meeting the Vanguards of the Army, because he recently returned from Tunisia and was not ready for today’s match.”
He added, “If Sassi leaves at the end of the season, he will be right, and Zamalek is sticking to him because he is a good and useful player for the team.”
And he explained, that any player who joins Al-Ahly or Zamalek is glowing and increasing his stars because of the fans, noting that he did not deal with Sassi, but everyone praises him.
He concluded: “He ruled out the idea of freezing Ferjani, as it is possible that he was not ready for that. He was not present in front of the vanguards of the army, and it will be unfair to Pacheco if he is involved at the expense of players who are more ready than him.”
In the same context, Abdel Wahid El Sayed, the former Zamalek goalkeeper, believes that any player committed to training will definitely participate with the team.
He concluded: “The player Ferjani Sassi traveled to Tunisia and did not attend the training session, and it is fair not to participate.”
