Wild rave party. Demonstration prohibited in Rennes: 17 arrests and two police custody

The event scheduled for Saturday January 9 in Rennes, in support of the organizers of the Lieuron rave party, was banned by the prefecture before being postponed by its organizers.

Despite everything, around a hundred people, in small groups scattered around the city center, were present on the outskirts of the Place de la République in the early afternoon.

The police, who controlled the various accesses, arrested seventeen people who were taken to the station to verify their identity. One person was taken into custody for carrying a weapon, another for possession of drugs.

About twenty people were also fined for “Participation in a prohibited demonstration and gathering of more than six people”.
