Gold prices in Egypt continued to decline for the third consecutive day, causing the price of a gram today to lose about 12 pounds compared to yesterday’s prices.
Gold prices fell during the past two days, and the total lost in 3 days was 35 pounds.
Naguib Club, former general secretary of the Gold Merchants Division in the Cairo Chamber of Commerce, told Masrawy that the price of a 21-carat gram of gold fell today to 813 pounds, compared to 825 pounds yesterday.
The price of a gram of 18 carat gold was about 696 pounds, and the price of a 24-carat gram was about 929 pounds, and the price of one pound of gold reached 6504 pounds.
Gold prices fell during the past two days, and the total lost in 3 days was 35 pounds.
Globally, gold prices tumbled at the end of yesterday’s trading, dropping by 3.39%, according to Bloomberg data.
And gold prices recorded at the end of yesterday’s session – the last session of the week – 1849.1 dollars an ounce, a decrease of 64.9 dollars, compared to the beginning of the session.
Today and tomorrow are official holidays in the global stock markets.
