National volatilization price rises for the 7th week… Seoul average over 1,500 won

Gasoline prices at gas stations nationwide have risen for seven consecutive weeks. The Seoul area averaged over 1,500 won per liter.

According to Korea National Oil Corporation’s Oil Price Information Service Opinet on the 9th, the average price of gasoline at gas stations nationwide in the first week of January was 1430.1 won per liter, up 16.7 won from the previous week.

Gasoline prices in Seoul, the nation’s highest priced area, rose 14.8 won from Jeonju to 1504.9 won per liter, which is 74.8 won higher than the national average (1430.1 won).

Seoul is the only region in the country that exceeds 1,500 won.

The lowest price is Gyeongnam, and the price of gasoline is 1411.1 won per liter, up 17.9 won from the previous week.

By brand, gasoline at the GS Caltex gas station was the most expensive at 1439.8 won per liter. Gasoline at an affordable gas station was the cheapest at 1392.4 won per liter.

In addition to gasoline, the price of diesel at gas stations nationwide recorded 1230.9 won per liter, up 16.7 won from the previous week.

International oil prices continued to rise last week. The price of Dubai oil, the standard of crude oil imported into Korea, rose 1.7 dollars from the previous week to 52.8 dollars per barrel.

International gasoline prices rose 2.2 dollars from the previous week to 56.7 dollars per barrel, and international automobile diesel prices rose by 0.5 dollars to 57.6 dollars per barrel.
