The jury of the 2020 edition of the Xaro Vidal award, after the corresponding deliberation and voting, agreed by majority to leave the Xaro Vidal Children’s Theater award, Ciutat de Carcaixent, as reported yesterday by the town council. The contest, born in 1998, was endowed with a prize of 3,000 euros and its trajectory has placed it as a reference in dramatic literature for children written in Valencian.
The Councilor for Culture and Heritage, Pasqual Boqueta Pastor expressed his gratitude to the Bromera publishing house for their collaboration and involvement in the award. A thank you that I also pass on to the writers who in this edition decided to present their works. Lastly, he expressed his wish that the contest obtain, in the next edition, “the support it deserves.”
