El Paso selected for mass vaccination against COVID-19 – Telemundo El Paso (48)

During a meeting held on the afternoon of Friday, January 8, by El Paso authorities, it was announced that the State of Texas selected this border community to carry out a massive vaccination against COVID-19.

According to city officials, El Paso was selected by the state because the first vaccine distribution was successful and rapid.

Given this, a total of 10,000 vaccines from the Moderna laboratory will be arriving in El Paso during the next week.

Of these, 5,000 vaccines will be delivered to the facilities of the University Medical Center (UMC), which is part of El Paso County, while the other 5,000 will be distributed at the city level.

It is important to mention that the doses will be distributed in new patients belonging to priority groups 1A and 1B.
