Already at the origin of several clashes in the sector this Friday morning, the ice would also be involved in an otherwise more serious accident which took place in the heart of the village of Kirschnaumen.
At around 7:40 a.m., a group of eight teenagers gathered around and inside the bus stop on the D956, near the church. Shortly before the arrival of the bus to take them to college in Sierck-les-Bains, a driver seems to have lost control of her vehicle, injuring at least five boys aged 11 to 15.

Warned, the firefighters deployed significant human resources to help the victims, 23 firefighters from Thionville, Hayange, Algrange, Sierck-les-Bains and Yutz. Smur ambulances were also dispatched to the scene while Rettel’s gendarmes ensured the security of the premises.
The victims were transferred to the pediatric service of the Bel-Air hospital in order to be taken care of.
