The Nadal saga continues: Rafa’s cousins take their first steps in tennis
Rafa Nadal is already 35 years old and, although at the moment it seems that he has left rope for a while, Spanish tennis is desperately looking for his successor. The best placed is Carlos Alcaraz, who, although he has not yet reached the age of majority, already has three titles on the Challenger circuit, but a couple of figures could also emerge within his own family. The young cousins of the 13-time Roland Garros champion, Toni and Joan, children in addition to Toni Nadal, are training at the Rafa Academy in Manacor and one of them has already made his professional debut at just 16 years old. At the moment, both are in their teens and it is unknown if they will want to dedicate themselves professionally to tennis, although, of course, they are in the ideal environment to try their luck.More stories that may interest you: Paula Badosa and the pressure of being ‘the Spanish Sharapova ‘Garbiñe Muguruza’s extreme training with the Civil Guard to return to the top of women’s tennis A record that not even Nadal will be able to match: this Ukrainian continues to play tennis at 96
