Ajax and AZ have won awards after the last Eredivisie month of 2020. Antony has been elected by ESPN as Eredivisieplayer of the month while Owen Wijndal has been voted the greatest talent of the competition for the fourth time.
Antony played in the last weeks before the holidays against FC Twente, PEC Zwolle, ADO Den Haag and Willem II: in those matches he was good for two goals, two assists, ten created chances and seven ball conquests. Teun Koopmeiners (AZ) and Nick Marsman (Feyenoord) ultimately had to lose against the Brazilian.
The trio is therefore in it Team of the Month from ESPN, together with Wijndal. Antony is accompanied by three teammates: Sean Klaiber, Ryan Gravenberch and Klaas-Jan Huntelaar make Ajax the purveyor to the court. Miguel Araujo (FC Emmen), Roel Janssen (Fortuna Sittard), Mohamed Ihattaren (PSV) and Lennart Thy (Sparta) complete the team.
