Former Indian cricketer Wasim Jaffer says there is nothing bigger than playing for the country. Jaffer also shared a picture of Indian fast bowler Mohammad Siraj shedding tears during the national anthem on Twitter before the start of the third Test between India and Australia. ‘There is no crowd to cheer for you but there is nothing more inspiring than playing for India. Mohammad Siraj’s father died last November while training with the team in Australia. However, Siraj was unable to return home due to quarantine restrictions. As a result, Siraj was unable to attend his father’s funeral. Later, his brother said that his father’s biggest dream had come true with Siraj playing in the second Test of the India-Australia series.

Siraj took five wickets in the first Test. Siraj’s presence also helped India win the Test against Australia. Wasim Jaffer is the biggest run-getter in the Ranji Trophy. He is also the highest run scorer in the Ranji Trophy. Jaffer has missed 32 Tests and two ODIs in international cricket.
