In Bashkiria in 2020, 1,977 people were diagnosed with HIV. Such data were presented to UfaTime.ru at the Republican Center for the Prevention and Control of AIDS and Infectious Diseases.
There are more men than women among infected patients, experts said. These are 1,154 men and 823 women – 58.37% and 41.63%, respectively.
The incidence rate in the republic was 48.8 per 100 thousand of the population. Compared to 2019, a decrease in the incidence of 26.9% was recorded.
