After the special session of the Hamburg Senate on Wednesday, School Senator Ties Rabe (SPD) also specified the regulations for schools.
The so-called compulsory presence in schools is until January 31st canceled. This means that the students usually study at home. Parents whose children cannot study at home or whose children cannot be looked after have the option of continuing to send their children to school, where they will be adequately cared for under pedagogical guidance.
“Distance teaching is the model,” said Rabe. But nobody is turned away from the schools.

Final exams should be adjusted
There is movement in the discussion about the Abitur and other final exams. For example, this year Rabe can imagine more choice of questions or more school-specific tasks – without the exams becoming easier. More time could also be allowed for exams.

Vacation dates remain for the time being
However, unlike Bayern, Rabe does not want to shake the vacation dates. To think about a cancellation of the so-called Hamburg ski vacation is still too early.
