Düsseldorf (dpa / lnw) – The SPD state parliament opposition has called for the waiver of half-year reports for secondary level 1 and non-transfers. “It’s not a normal school year, so you shouldn’t pretend,” said vice parliamentary group leader Jochen Ott on Wednesday in Düsseldorf. NRW School Minister Yvonne Gebauer (FDP) failed with her concept of “classroom teaching without plan B”.
In principle, all students should be transferred. Some were in quarantine for weeks. “The susceptibility to legal action is extremely high and we should save ourselves legal disputes,” said Ott. 4th grade students should be able to repeat the school year at their own request.
The test level of grades 5 and 6 should be extended to include grade 7. Students in grades 8 and 9 should be able to switch to G 9 at the grammar school. In the Abitur exams, the lessons actually given must be taken into account.
Teachers should keep an eye on the wellbeing of their students and have a conversation with them once or twice a week. “There are schools where lunch is vital for the children,” said Ott. The distribution of food and the non-digital distribution of tasks should be ensured at these schools. Larger vacant rooms in the municipalities should finally be able to be used for classroom teaching.
