Dell has unveiled a number of new products ahead of CES 2021, including the Dell OptiPlex 3090 Ultra compact computer. The device has a compact size and is designed to be mounted directly on a special monitor stand. The OptiPlex 3090 Ultra simplifies deployment and maintenance, and is offered in a variety of configurations with Intel Tiger Lake processors.
The OptiPlex 3090 Ultra is only 0.78 “thin and 3.78” wide (19.8 x 96 mm). Dell’s vision is for OptiPlex modular PCs to take up space and use the minimum amount of cables to create a comfortable workspace.
Although the OptiPlex 3090 Ultra is designed for use with Dell monitors, it can be used with VESA-compliant third-party monitors up to 40 inches in size. But then you need to purchase an additional fixed or adjustable height OptiPlex stand.
OptiPlex 3090 Ultra configurations include Core i3-1115G4, Core i5-1145G7, and Celeron 6305 processors, as well as up to 64GB of dual-channel DDR4-3200 memory and a variety of M.2 2230 NVMe drives, SATA SSD, HDD and eMMC. The computer has a USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C port on board, two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, DisplayPort 1.4 video output, and a universal audio jack. Wireless connectivity is provided using the Qualcomm QCA61 × 4a 802.11ac (2 × 2), Qualcomm QCA9377 802.11ac (1 × 1) plus Bluetooth 5.0 or Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX201 (2 × 2) wireless adapter with a choice of Bluetooth 5.1.
The Dell OptiPlex 3090 Ultra will go on sale on January 28, starting at $ 659.
