P&O Cruises Australia is extending its continued hiatus in New Zealand operations to departures before April 25, 2021 as the cruise line and the wider industry continue to work with government and public health authorities at the right time to restart the navigation.
The cruise line, which has established ships in Auckland for many years, will return to New Zealand for a dedicated 150-day season in July 2022.

“As we work toward this goal, we wanted to provide our Kiwi guests with the greatest possible certainty and flexibility in their 2021 bookings and the opportunity to reschedule their cruise vacation for 2022 or beyond. I want to thank our guests from New Zealand for their loyalty to P&O Cruises Australia during this time and we look forward to welcoming them back on board, ”he added.
Initially scheduled to begin sailing from Auckland from February 6, 2021, operations of Pacific Explorer they were previously paused until March 4, 2021 and are now paused until April 25.
In Australia, Pacific Adventure is currently scheduled to start sailing from Sydney on April 30, 2021, while Pacific Encounter is due to call Brisbane home from May 7, although additional trips may be added earlier depending on the time of the return from the cruise in Australia.
