The father of ‘youtuber’ Jamie Nyland burst into tears when he learned that his son paid “every penny of your mortgage.” The moving moment was shared this Sunday through the young man’s TikTok account.
Jamie, 24, settled the outstanding debt with the bank so that his father, Richard, can retire before it was planned. In the pictures, the young man enters a room and throws the keys to the house in the hands of his father.
“I just called the bank and paid every penny on his mortgage,” says Jamie. Initially, Richard refuses to believe the boy’s words as he tries to convince him. Soon after, he begins to cry with emotion.
The video has received more than 341,000 likes and almost 5,000 comments in which several users congratulated the young man for the action. “Now you own this whole house. I swear. You’ve worked all your life, so now you can retire,” the young man said to his father.

“You are the best son in the world to have,” Richard assured before returning the keys and assuring her that the property belongs to Jamie. “It’s in the will. The house is yours, What’s mine is yours“insists the man.
In a later comment, the ‘youtuber’ clarified how he was able to pay the debt, reporting that he has made Vine for four years and videos for YouTube for a decade, efforts that led to the fulfillment of his “single objective”: pay off your family’s mortgage.
