In addition, Heo Hoon is the fourth in fan voting for two consecutive years, following Lee Sang-min (9 seasons in a row), Yang Dong-geun, and Heo Woong.
Heo Woong received 31,421 votes, followed by 1221 votes to his younger brother and placed second. This is the first time that the brothers ranked first and second in a professional basketball All-Star fan vote, which was launched in 1997. His father, former coach Heo Jae, was selected as an All-Star five times until his retirement in 2004, but he did not enjoy the honor of being the first place as fan votes were introduced from the 2001-2002 season.
Song Gyo-chang (25, Jeonju KCC), who received 31,217 votes, took the third place in the fan vote following the’Heo Brothers’. There is no significant difference compared to Huon, Kim Sirae, Yang Hongseok, Song Gyochang, and Lee Junghyun (KCC), who were ranked 1st to 5th last year, followed by Yang Hongseok (KT), Kim Sirae (Changwon LG).
Meanwhile, this season’s All-Star game will not be held due to Corona 19. Therefore, like last season, in the All-Star game, you cannot see a face-to-face match between’Heo Brothers’. To appease that regret, KBL plans to prepare and broadcast a plan program in which All-Star players and fans directly communicate and participate using KBL TV channels from the 14th to 18th during the All-Star break.
