BARCELONA, 5 Ene. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Bankia has financed companies in Catalonia with 3,800 million euros until last November – through about 8,900 operations – to help face the economic consequences of Covid-19, as indicated by the financial institution in a statement this Tuesday.

Of this amount, some 1,500 million euros were mobilized in credits and loans with partial guarantee from the ICO, in 5,700 operations.

In addition, Bankia has provided 7,650 moratoriums on mortgages and 5,800 on consumer loans to Catalan families for a combined amount of 1,155 million euros.

“The amount of mortgages that have benefited from these moratoriums exceeds 1,100 million euros, while that of consumer loans with deferrals total another 55 million”, according to Bankia.

In addition, the entity launched its own solutions to help the Catalan business fabric, “through which it has increased its financing to companies in the four provinces by an additional 2,300 million euros during the first eleven months of the year,” as added the bank in the statement.
