Like many others, former Davis Cup player and captain Nikola Pilic believes Roger Federer will face many obstacles on his way to his 21st Major Trophy. The Croatian does not see the Swiss winning other major titles, he does not completely rule out this possibility but does not give him many chances.
Federer had to jump most of 2020, battling a knee injury and only playing one tournament in January. The 39-year-old is working on his return to Dubai with coach Ivan Ljubicic, doing his best to start playing again in two months.
Federer will not take part in the first major tournament of the season at the Australian Open which starts on February 8, as he needs more time to recover and hopes to be able to play again in late February or early March.
Following a nasty knee injury in 2016, Roger made a comeback six months later in 2017.
