The latest bulletin from Public Health France (SPF) indicates that the situation is deteriorating, particularly in the Haut-Rhin, where the incidence rate has just risen above the bar of 200 cases per 100,000 inhabitants (i.e. the threshold at – beyond which an advanced curfew was imposed in 15 departments). Among those over 65, it even reaches 245 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
In the Bas-Rhin, the situation seems a little less alarming. The incidence rate nevertheless reached 173 cases per 100,000 inhabitants (184 for those over 65).
The number of hospitalizations also continues to increase. This Sunday, SPF reported, 956 people with Covid were hospitalized in Alsace against 909 the day before. 75 of these patients were in intensive care. Three new deaths are to be deplored.
