Cologne – Defending champion VfL Wolfsburg will face SV Werder Bremen or SV Meppen in the quarter-finals of the women’s DFB Cup. That was the result of the draw on Sunday in Cologne.
The round of 16 of the two Bundesliga clubs still has to be made up as well as the games 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam against SC Sand and Walddörfer SV against Bundesliga leaders FC Bayern Munich.
If Bayern advance against the only remaining regional league team in the competition, the Munich team will have to travel to TSG 1899 Hoffenheim. The winner from Potsdam against Sand competes at SC Freiburg, while second division SG 99 Andernach meets Eintracht Frankfurt. The game will be played on March 20th and 21st.
