The Plaisançois have been able to meet for a few months in front of their houses or in the streets of their town a “strange” photographer on the lookout for the riches of the city. Indeed, Cédric Haté hunts, walks the streets of the city to photograph all the more or less unusual places with architectural riches to learn about the stories of the past, linked to Plaisance.
Cédric Haté converted to the art of photography after a professional retraining and followed an appropriate training. In search of supports and ideas, his first project was to work with retirement homes to make portraits of residents with their stories and anecdotes. Creating links between people with the support of artistic work had found the support of institutions but the first confinement suspended this initiative.
A little game with a bear
He took advantage of this period to use social networks like Facebook and create a game with a little bear “Nozy” by posting photos in which the bear cub had to be found. Building relationships is always at the heart of his work. “When people meet me, they easily tell me anecdotes of the city. The need to tell the story, the local life, opens doors and refers to other people, links are created, it’s like a Library My current job is to combine writing with photography to publish a story where “Nozy” the bear cub is the traveling photographer listing the riches from a different angle and where readers have to find the places photographed “.
An extension in other municipalities?
It remains for Cédric Haté to find an editor to make his work a reality. Work that could be declined in other municipalities. Since the new confinement, the curfew and the long winter evenings, the Plaisançois will certainly be able to once again have time to search for “Nozy” and play with him.
