UNITED STATES, January 2, 2020.- A boat with 20 people on board disappeared between the Bahamas and the coasts of the state of Florida, announced the United States Coast Guard, which halted its search on Friday after three days of unsuccessful efforts .
The vessel, which left the Bimini Islands on Monday, was heading for Lake Worth in Palm Beach County (southeastern United States), about 80 miles away.
But on Tuesday, the Coast Guard was alerted that it had not arrived as expected, according to a statement.
For more than three days, teams arranged by both countries conducted air and sea searches in approximately 44,000 km2 but suspended them on Friday at noon, the institution explained.
