Kochi: Transgender entrepreneur Sajna Shaji has made one of her biggest dreams come true with the help of actor Jayasurya. Jayasurya inaugurated the Sajnas Kitchen Hotel at Malikampedika on Aluva-Paravoor Road. Sajna’s mother Jameela, trans community mother Ranjumol, V.D. Satheesan MLA and others attended the function. Jayasurya said people like Sajna, who faced crises with courage, were an inspiration and very happy to stand by. During the lockdown, anti-socials attacked Sajna and her gang while they were fighting for their lives by selling biryani on the streets and disrupted the sale. After informing the world about this through Facebook, people from various walks of life came out in support of Sajna. Minister K.K. Shailaja and actor Jayasurya offered help. Following this, several controversies arose and Sajna tried to commit suicide. However, Jayasuriya kept his word. Sajna’s special biryani, folk dishes, North Indian and Chinese delicacies and special shake sherbet are available at the hotel. There is also a small counter for shawarma, alfalfa and porridge.
