The Russian hockey juniors fulfilled the role of the favorite against Germany in the quarterfinals of the World Championships in Edmonton and after a 2: 1 victory they advanced to the medals.
Opponents for the semifinals will be awarded other duels to the silver defenders from the last championship in Ostrava and Třinec. After the premiere participation in the quarterfinals, the Germans say goodbye to the tournament.
At the beginning, Germany defended itself in weakening and could take the lead in the sixth minute, but Jaroslav Askarov was helped by the right post after the shot of the trio of this year’s draft Tim Stützle, which Ottawa chose.
