The law regulating clinical medical research, recently approved by the President of the Republic, specified cases in which placebo “placebo” is used during medical research, and it is an inert product that does not have a therapeutic effect similar to the product in question and does not contain an active substance.
Article 11 of the law stipulates that the placebo preparation may be used in the following two cases:
Comparison with the new intervention, in the absence of an available established treatment, and comparison with the use of standard treatment and the new intervention.
In the two previous cases, it is stipulated that the use of the placebo treatment does not increase the risk to the respondent or cause any damage to it, and that its use does not result in depriving the respondent of standard treatment. All this is as indicated by the executive regulations of this law
