Gruezo, Richter and Niederlechner start in Cologne
Three changes to start the new year
–
In the first game of the year, FC Augsburg will be visiting 1. FC Köln (3:30 p.m.). Compared to the cup game against RasenBallsport Leipzig (0: 3), FCA coach Heiko Herrlich made three changes – and thus started the new year with full offensive power.
Carlos Gruezo, Marco Richter and Florian Niederlechner are allowed to run in the cathedral city from the start. Robert Gumny, Rani Khedira and Michael Gregoritsch first take a seat on the bench. While Raphael Framberger and Alfred Finnbogason are still missing, André Hahn is back in the squad for the first time since his Covid 19 infection.
Tobias Strobl was loaned out to Cologne for one year by TSG 1899 Hoffenheim in the 2012/13 season. The midfielder completed 21 second division games for the Rhinelander.
Starting XI: Gikiewicz (TW), Gouweleeuw, Niederlechner, Vargas, Uduokhai, Caligiuri, Iago, Richter, Gruezo, Strobl, Oxford
Bank: Koubek (TW), Gumny, Pedersen, Suchý, Khedira, Gregoritsch, Hahn, Civeja, Berisha
