Unidentified metal pillars appear in Toronto, Canada on New Year’s Eve

An unidentified metal pillar, which appeared all over the world and attracted attention, reappeared in Canada on New Year’s Eve.

According to AFP news agency on the 1st (local time), a metal pillar about 4m high was found in Humber Bay Park overlooking Toronto’s waterfront from the previous day.

Citizens flocked here to see the CN Tower, the symbol of Toronto, as well as the metal pillars erected at points where you can see the city at a glance.

Some of these metal pillars were damaged by red paint, and some citizens tried to wipe them.

The appearance of a metal pillar raised concerns about the spread of a novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19).

Canadian authorities have issued recommendations to stay at home as much as possible to prevent the spread of Corona 19.

The metal pillar, which was first discovered in the desert of Utah, USA on November 18 last year, attracted great attention because it resembles the alien sculpture in the ‘2001 Space Odyssey’ by American film director Stanley Kubrick.

In particular, it was not known who or why such a metal pillar was installed, so some netizens at the time also speculated jokingly that it was an alien act.

Afterwards, the metal column suddenly disappeared and was discovered in the Netherlands and Poland, and recently, it has appeared in Vancouver, Canada and Winnipeg in the central region.
