Data on the coronavirus situation in France continues to be closely monitored. More and more departments are once again becoming areas of vigilance due to the active circulation of the virus. This Friday, January 1, 2021, 51.9% of intensive care beds are occupied in France. 100 departments are in a situation of high vulnerability, all of France is in a state of health emergency.
Regarding the development of the situation Friday January 1, 2021, there is 19,348 new confirmed cases. There is therefore in total at least 2.639.773 people affected by coronavirus since the start of the epidemic in France. As of January 1, 2021, there is 7.242 new people hospitalized these last 7 days in France, including 1,133 new patients who were admitted in intensive care. 133 people are deceased in France since the last assessment is 64,765 deaths in total dont 44.985 (+133) in the hospital and 19.780 in Ehpad.
At December 28, 2020, the incidence rate, i.e. the number of patients having a test Positive RT-PCR per 100,000 inhabitants per week was still declining and amounted to 125. The R, representing the average number of people infected by every person with COVID-19, is 0,91 December 26. The occupancy rate of intensive care beds in France is 51,9 % on the date of December 31, 2020. 3,22 % of tests carried out in France are positive over the last 7 days.

Covid: curfew from 6 p.m., the list of the fifteen departments concerned
During an interview with the France 2 newscast, the Minister of Health Olivier Véran announced on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 that an extension of the current curfew to fight against Covid was planned from January 2, 2021 for departments and metropolitan areas where the incidence rate was above the threshold set by the State. A measure now enacted for fifteen departments … Which are concerned? What other departments could implement this extension of the curfew? We take stock.
