The gameplay trailer of Gearbox’s next-generation console’Godpole’ was unveiled today (7th) through SIE’s Internet presentation’State of Play’.
Godfall is a third-person action game developed by Counterplay Games and published by Gearbox software. It was introduced as the launch title of the next-generation console’PS5′, which is scheduled to be released at the end of this year, and received attention. Gearbox introduced Godfall as a’root-slasher game focused on melee combat’, and additionally supports co-op multiplayer for up to three players.
The newly released 9-minute video introduces Godfall’s combat system. The introduction was directed by Keith Lee, Game Director of Counterplay Games. The character controlled by the user wears armor inspired by the 12 constellations, and uses five types of weapons: long sword, dual blade, pole arm, warhammer, and great sword. Since each weapon has a separate move set, users can enjoy different play styles of battle each time they switch weapons. In this video, the move set and skill set of dual blade and long sword were mainly introduced.
After the two weapons, a’shield’ was introduced. Director Keith Lee emphasized that the shield is the core part of Godfall. In general, the shield can prevent the opponent’s attack, and if you press the button at the correct timing, you can defeat the opponent’s attack with a’parry’. In addition,’Shield Strike’, a counter-attack that can be triggered after blocking an opponent’s attack,’Shield Throw’ that can be used as a long-range attack,’Wave Attack’ that triggers the moment you receive the thrown shield, and’Pattifying’ that stuns multiple enemies. It can be used in various ways, such as’Slam’. At the end of the video, you can also check out the boss fight play video using the previously introduced move set.
Gearbox’s new work and PS5 launch title, the new action game’Godpole’, will be released on the PS5 and PC platforms in the coming holiday season of 2020.
