Sport in 2021: The human comeback is needed

Two mega-events in the run-up to which the most vital questions for sport are kept shaking: Can the audience, i.e. the emotions with them, return to the stadiums? Are amateurs allowed to do what they love to do again? When, where, and in what amount? And how high will the actual willingness be, or has the habituation effect over the past few months sidelined interest in sport? Justified fears, which seem unfounded if they are fueled all too often by ignoramuses to whom sport meant little or nothing even before the corona attack.

Countless associations will have the socially indispensable task of pulling children and young people out of the pandemic. At least the hope remains vague that after the crisis, some professional clubs and their players could dawn to whom they owe their solid to privileged existence: the people and their liveliness.
