Bloodthirsty squirrels terrorize New York residents

Sweet? Are you kidding me? Are you serious when you say that. For weeks, residents in the New York borough of Queens have been attacked by highly aggressive squirrels. Resident Micheline Frederick (56) says being attacked by a squirrel, that sounds ridiculous. They are so cute. But the animal was wild and had it all after her. “It was a fight in the cage – and I lost,” she can now laugh.

The reporter of the US-Senders CBS shows Frederick the bite wounds on her hand – and pictures from a surveillance camera of how everything was covered in blood. She stood in front of her front door and was attacked out of the blue – “completely unprovoked”.

The two of them, she and the squirrel, would have “wrestled with each other in the snow. There was blood everywhere and the creature was gnawing my fingers. ” According to Federick, it was a “big bloody mess”.

The squirrel “only wants one thing – it wants blood”

At least six other neighbors were attacked by a maddened rodent. “These squirrels are aggressive and attack people,” says a neighbor. A neighbor who was attacked twice was able to shake off the creature as it clung to its leg.

Now the residents live in fear of going out on the street. The authorities have advised setting traps. But people don’t have to worry, rabies is extremely rare in squirrels.
