Meanwhile, the father of British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who led Brexit, applied for French citizenship, saying that he would remain European.

Prime Minister Johnson’s father, 80-year-old Stanley Johnson, told a French radio station that the process for obtaining French citizenship is underway.

Stanley Johnson, a former member of the European Parliament, voted for staying in the EU unlike his son at the 2016 Brexit referendum.
