The New Year’s bell-belling event, which was an event to celebrate the new year after spending the year, was canceled in the aftermath of Corona 19.
It’s been 67 years since the event started, and as citizens rush home early in various parts of the city, the appearance of the New Year holidays was quite different from previous years.

The area around Bosingak, Seoul, where 100,000 people gathered every year was empty.
The bell-belling event on the Bosingak Festival, which marks the end of the year and announces the new year, has been cancelled.
This is the first time that other types of events have stopped since the event began in 1953.

The non-face-to-face New Year’s Eve event in the city was decorated by drones.
Thousands of drones produced various scenes above Yeongdong-daero, Seoul, sending out messages of corona overcoming and New Year’s wishes.
In accordance with the ban on gatherings, all local governments’ sunset events were canceled, and the seaside area was also crowded.
Some municipalities have even blocked access roads to the coast to control entry of tourists.
With Corona 19, the national holiday atmosphere has disappeared, and the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is lighting 24 hours a day.
The public’s attention to the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, which welcomes the New Year amid Corona 19, is also expected to continue.
