Angelo Barletta is no longer the coach of the Southwest regional division Kickers Offenbach. The successor has already been determined in Sreto Ristic, and Marijan Kovacevic will take over the position of assistant coach.

Managing director Thomas Sobotzik informed Barletta on Wednesday morning that he had been released from his duties. Co-trainer Dennis Bochow also has to go with Barletta. In contrast, Ramon Berndroth remains in the coaching staff.
The former coach of Chemnitzer FC, Sreto Ristic, will take over the OFC on January 2nd. According to the club, the official presentation will follow in the next few days.
Ristic was employed as an assistant coach at Chemnitzer FC from 2017 and was promoted to the third division with the club under head coach David Bergner in 2019. He was also head coach there on an interim basis. Before that he was assistant coach at the Stuttgarter Kickers. In his active time he played for VfB Stuttgart, SSV Ulm, Union Berlin, Eintracht Braunschweig and SV Sandhausen, among others. His assistant Kovacevic was most recently head of the Stuttgart Kickers’ junior performance center.
For OFC managing director Thomas Sobotzik, the new head coach is “an absolute expert and a personality”. “In recent years, in various constellations, he has often been the brain behind the respective head coach, has designed tactical strategies in great detail and conveyed them to the respective team,” continues Sobotzik, the Ristic from his time as a board member at Chemnitzer FC (2018 to 2019 ) knows.
Just like Sobotzik, President Joachim Wagner thanked the outgoing coach: “I would like to thank Angelo for his tireless efforts for the OFC in this difficult year. This decision was very difficult both personally and professionally. OFC is fourth in the table of the Regionalliga Südwest with 26 points from 15 games and is four points behind the leading duo SC Freiburg II and TSV Steinbach Haiger. However, these two clubs each played one game less.
