This novel coronavirus mutation, named’B.1.1.7′ (VUI-202012/01), was first reported in the UK in September, and so far, about 30 in Asia, Europe, the Americas, including Korea, the United States, and Japan. Infected people have emerged from countries and regions.
Experts believe that B.1.1.7 has a low fatality rate compared to the existing novel coronavirus, but its spreading power is about 70% stronger.
