MEXICO.- A few days ago, a strategy for ‘phishing’ or malicious email that seeks to steal personal data from Facebook accounts. The message, says the cybersecurity company Eset, is reaching through the Messenger application.

Cyber attackers They pretend to be a contact with an acquaintance and they ask to give ‘I like it’ in a social network post to supposedly help a good cause.
In this they share a link, which looks like the Facebook login page, however, the URL is false, but when sharing it is shortened so that it looks even more like the link of the social network.

Once the person is on the fake page, they ask include your username and password. When entering personal data, you are automatically directed to the official Facebook site, noting that there is an authentication error, in order that the person does not realize the theft of information.
The cybersecurity company Eset points out that it is important to ignore messages and conversations, even from close contacts, where they lead to an additional page where they request to enter the data.
