Recently, we unveiled the list of the most anticipated films and series on Netflix for the month of January 2021. Another nugget signed this time Martin Scorsese will be available on the platform from January 8: Pretend It’s a City. In it, we follow the tribulations of American actress and author Fran Lebowitz in the heart of the Big Apple.

The one that we nickname the modern Dorothy Parker makes us the manifesto of this teeming city through delirious moods punctuated by poetic questions. “In New York there are millions of people. And I’m the only one watching where they’re going ”, she declares in this first trailer unveiled this Tuesday, December 29 by Netflix. The documentary is described by the streaming giant as “A furiously funny guide that every New Yorker has dreamed of”, alongside a highlighting of the life of Fran Lebowitz, “A life marked by constant curiosity and invigorating independence”.
