Dr. Muhammad Awad Taj al-Din, the President’s Advisor for Preventive Health Affairs, denied the statements circulating to him on some private websites regarding the height of the second wave of Corona and the continuation of the virus in 2021, saying: “I did not say this statement at all, and this is unscientific and inaccurate words,” continuing: “ “This talk in this way works with confusion.”
Awad Taj al-Din added, during a telephone interview with the “Tahrir Hall” program, presented by Azza Mustafa, broadcast on “Echo Al Balad” satellite channel, that there is an increase in cases, and other increases will be monitored, and the peak will be when a fixed number of injuries is reached and after it. The decline is starting, and no one can say for sure when the peak will be right now.
He revealed the reasons for the high death rate from Corona, explaining that the number of deaths expresses a percentage of injuries, and the number of injuries that are announced is a proportion of the injuries that have been reported, pointing out that the death rate includes cases that are reported and that have not been reported, commenting: “ Deaths are monitored, but the total number of injuries is not recorded.
